i just got my DaVinci and i really regret buying it don't get me wrong it's a very nice IEM very well tuned but everyone says it has amazing Bass well compared to ZiiGaat Doscinco it doesn't atleast my set is literally nothing in comparison to Doscinco hell even Kefine Delci has better Bass then DaVinci and this is a $60 set plus the cable is awful it has really bad memory why companies always go for 2 and 4 core thick cables that always have memory and in most cases are very heavy 8 and 16 Core cables are Best for IEMs

It is interesting that i hear the x3 is highly fatiguing, because for me it allows you to more casually listen, i was not fatigued in any way. I just bought it and I think there is no heavy emphasis on treble. However the sundara and hd600 are considered some of the great headphones. But tbh if you want to have something you can wear outside and beat up a little there is only 1 option, and the x2hr are not, people think your a time traveler if they see you wearing those.

How are the sound signature compared to the porta pro?

I feel kinda of special owning a Hola now. I think Truthear were almost making a lose on them with the 3D printed shell, good stock cable and the carry pouch, maybe even the cardboard for the eartips to sit on. Just that entire package was so good at the time. I think the Gate sadly is just a cheaper version now with a slightly updated tuning based on what people told Truthear about the Hola being warm sounding.

the Cheap Senny HD599 has pretty good bass. I used it with a Hip Dac 3 with that bass boost function, and it could keep up with my Focal Bathys as far as slam goes. The Bathys just did it in a Tighter, more focused way. but if you want to add an open back that can get pretty low and not sound terrible. the 599 is pretty good for that. and comfortable as heck

How are these when compared to the Quintet and which one would be a better purchase if I am upgrading from the Cadenza?

I have a pair of UE 11 Pro's that aren't getting very much use these days since I don't play music on stage anymore and I "upgraded" my cellphone to one without a headphone jack. I mostly listen to Metal...could you recommend a DAP(s) that would help me get the most out of these IEM's ? I use Tidal for their high quality source files.

I can say that Truthear should sell their cables alone, whether Hola or Zeroes, along with their pouches. I'm not a guy that believe in cable rolling but there's one time I switched the cable on my Zero to another brand and the bass is noticably gone. I probably have to dig Hola's cable up again from the storage. Nice review as usual!

For that kind of money I'd prefer a modern phone with a dongle or a full on gaming laptop.

To my ears the Gate and Hola are practically the same. Gate has slightly less bass and a little more clarity in details and separation. But to be honest, after 5 minutes of listening they are practically the same. On a 1-100% scale they are like 5% difference in bass and clarity. I did A/B testing with them on the same gear/songs/tips.

I did a "no back" mod It's easy and 100% reversible Make 2 each of nickel (20mm diameter) size of mounting tape with 1/4" (6.3mm) hole on the center (2 rings) 2 ea of fine metal mesh from filter and cut slightly larger than 1/4" diameter (to cover the magnet hole) (Optional) Nickel (20mm) size plastic ring with 1/4" hole (for cosmetic purpose) Put the mesh on the hole of the ring (tape) and cover on the magnet with hole aligned Cover the headphones back cover after it's finished. The audio is more transparent after modification

The problem we have got as customers is ,we all have to buy blind .99 % of the reviews for these are overwhelmingly fantastic .I would not dream of spending this much on a pair of Iem's, but i may get these .

I REALLY like the sound of these but ended up returning them. I compared them side by side with the timeless and much preferred these sound wise. I returned both at the end of the day due to fit. The heyday is very heavy with a heavy cable that ultimately put the pressure of that weight on the inside of my ear canal. The timeless is much lighter but you have to find the right tips. The timeless’ circle shape would cause them to ride on the tragus of my ear.
